A Tale of Two Woes…

Posted Saturday, November 1st, 2008 at 3:49 pm

First…
I went and voted early – yay for me! I also want to send out props to everyone who has voted early. I do understand that there is a special thrill in voting on election night and I send out props to everyone who votes – period. Of course that is not a woe, so I will get to it now… My friend, and I’ll call her Mama for Obama – because I know she’ll like that, was out and about driving the other day when she was victim of road rage! Mama for Obama has bumper stickers (2) on her car. One that reads, “Impeach Bush” and another that supports Obama for president. Mama for Obama was at a red left turn light when a large clunky old pick-up pulls up behind her. The trashy looking truck moved from behind her to the other left turn lane, and the passenger (a white male) rolled down his window and proceeded to yell at Mama for Obama! She played the “smarter than you” card and kept her window up while “Joe the Plumber” yelled his profanities. Yeah, that’s the way to show your intelligence, roll your window down and cuss out the person voting opposite you. When the light turned green the old truck went clunking along and Mama for Obama held back a bit – being the smarter of the two. The truck then violently pulled over in front of Mama for Obama (with a ton of McCain bumper stickers) and slowed down… Here’s just another huge example of what an idiot this person is – cause an accident and then Mama for Obama will have an epiphany and realize that voting McCain really is the better way to go! Good God! Like I said in my November 4th post – people voting Obama are a peaceful loving people, compared to folks voting McCain who are raging and angry. I just want to thank “Joe the Plumber” in the trashy truck who proudly showed the true McCain spirit. I want to thank you for making my decision to vote Obama justified. Mama for Obama thanks you too…

In relation to my first woe…
My nine-year-old niece told Scott today that if Obama is elected president then when a child fails a test, teachers will preserve the right to pull a gun out from their desk and shoot them! What the hell are the pro McCain folks teaching their children? Makes me sick! Again – thank you dumb McCain voters for making my choice valid.

Second…

Jack baby was sick all last weekend and on Monday I decided he needed to go see the doctor. Jack didn’t run a fever but he was vomiting and couldn’t keep anything down. After three days of that I figured it was good cause to get checked out by the doc. We called and made an appointment for Jack and everything was fine. Although, when we arrived we were greeted with, “I don’t know if the doctor can treat Jack, because the business office needs to talk to you.” WTF! Are you kidding me? The office lady calls over to the business office and says that the business office gave permission for the doctor to treat our son but we needed to go talk to them right after. I sent Scott right over because this was total bull – what business office has the right to turn our sick child away? He was fine, but he could have been running a high fever and he could have been vomiting blood for all they knew! Yet, they were bringing down the hand of God and saying that the doctor could not treat our son. Scott went over to see what the problem was and it turned out to be the STUPIDEST thing ever! Last April (six months ago) Scott’s medical insurance company took money back for treatment from when Jack was born – over a year ago! Now – the business office lady was giving Scott a week to deal with it and get them their money back or they would no longer treat our Boyz… Nice. The business office wanted us to pay them the amount (nearly a thousand) that they claimed the insurance company had taken back. What if we did just dish out the money not wanting to deal with the pain in the ass insurance company? Bank and score for the doctor’s office… Anyhow, the insurance company was confused because they thought my insurance would have covered Jack when he was born and for the first few weeks after. Scott and I knew that my insurance would not so we made sure that his medical insurance would cover Jack the moment he was out of my body. “Ohhh…” – they said. Now the insurance company is (with fingers crossed) going to send the money back to the doctors office. The bottom line was the way they dealt with us about it. I understand people need to be paid, but they could have said, “When you’re done with your visit here you need to go over to our business office. They need to talk to you.” Not, “Oh, I doubt the doctor can treat your son today. The business office needs to see you right away!” Hello mother fuckers, we have a sick baby! We are already freaking out!

Each tale has a similar point – people need to be nicer, kinder and a lot more understanding! Too many folks are running through life in asshole mode and not enough in love thy neighbor mode. Everyone wants to blame everyone else and everyone wants to be mad at everyone else, everyone is over worked and under paid, everyone has no family values… *breathe* We will never change because everyone is right… See the problem? Go out with a smile… because what else can we do?

Although, on a happy and more peaceful note, Obama is leading in the polls!!!

All I can say is “Oh, my God!” to both those things. And a WTF to what Keirra said…where’d she hear that? Please deliver us from people who have twice as much to say as their intelligence should allow them to say.

Keirra said that’s what all the kids at school are saying – so she’s just repeating what she’s heard. I can see how that would freak out a young child who doesn’t know any better. I have no idea what parents are thinking… Well, that’s probably it – they are not thinking. Maybe, just maybe, if they thought about it…they would go vote Obama. *smile*

I just read your comments about the election, Obama mama, her comments as well, and about your healthcare/Dr’s visit dilemma.

I must say, I am floored by what you wrote. I am a proud Republican, and I am NOT A REDNECK as your friend stated, nor have I ever yelled at someone for their campaign stickers. However, one thing maybe you should know, is this kind of behavior occurs with the Democratic party as well. Myself, and 6 other neighbors 4 who live on corner lots, all had McCain signs. All of them were stolen and the ones down the street too. They were stolen in the middle of the day between 4:00 and 4:10 pm. People who say they are for peace and democracy had absolutely no respect for my right to decide. I find it incredibly hard to believe that a person who says they LOVE peace would call people names including their Doctors who are just wanting to be paid for services they provide. It is not the Doctors fault that YOU didn’t read your insurance, or that YOU didn’t follow up with YOUR insurance company. My advice, you should take your child to the emergency room next time. It sounds to me like you were just upset that they weren’t servicing you in the way you want to be serviced. Also, please understand that when the Feds have their hands in your healthcare, there will be even more bureaucracy. Take it from someone who knows what it is like to stand in line for medical care with an extremely ill child, and you have to wait until the person in front of you in line has a bandaid changed. Then you will see what a federal run healthcare system is all about. By the way… Who do you think is going to foot the bill for federal run healthcare? It will be you my dear.

As far as peace, and the trillions of dollars spent in Iraq. YOU have absolutely no respect for the thousands of soldiers who fought and died for you, or for the families of those soldiers. You think you know what was found in Iraq. Let me tell you, you have absolutely NO idea what was found. The Government doesn’t tell you everything and for good reason! I will be sure and tell my husband, his friends, and the families of those that died, that you do not believe in what he fought for, because you are selfish, and care more about yourself and your peace loving views than you do for our country. You apparently have forgot about September 11th and all of those people who perished in a cesspool of chaos and hate. By the way, did you see today that Russia is now threatening the United States with missiles aimed at our shores? Where are you going to be when the next attack happens? I can almost guarantee it will happen. When our military is cut back yet again just like Clinton did, then what? Will you support our troops again, momentarily, until you forget one more time? If your family is hurt, then will you think it’s okay to spend trillions of dollars? Then will it be okay with you? When it directly effects your family would it be okay to spend the money? Would you selflessly send your husband and or children to war for your country, to lose limbs or life? Would you have a different view if your family was effected? Would you understand that it is for a greater cause, and not for one persons self? I doubt it. When you have been there, then perhaps you should comment. Also, you should know that one of the reasons this war costs so much, is because of Clinton and his cutbacks to the military. So many items had to be purchased to protect soldiers. If you recall, many of them didn’t even have flak jackets, or up armoured vehicles. Think about it, before you wrecklessly make comments, and your rants and raves about the money that is spent. Thank God everyday that you have the freedom of speech. You didn’t even earn it. A soldier earned that for you.

On a final note.. Do your research!

This is to say, the person that now has no breathe left, what makes you say we have freedom of speech when all you do is say you can not think this way! Also, you do not know if our Obama signs were taken down you are saying only yours. What give you the right to say that the person who wrote this has not had someone that has died for our country, or served in wars that gave us our freedom and I might add that she is in a long line of Democrats (you may want to look this word up). This person was raised to believe in our country and to be proud of what it stands for. Her grandfathers were all in a war of one kind or another. Yes, it was earned for her and for everyone that lives in this country, even if they are not proud to be an American. There is the freedom to say what you want. If your thanking God for your freedom then you should thank God for giving people brains to have there own opinion. Your last comment was do your research. Well you might want to look at your own family tree!!!

Well Mom, I do know this person. As far as freedom of speech, you obviously did not understand my comments. What gives me the right to query if she has suffered a loss because of war in this country… freedom of speech. As for Democrats, I used to be one. I do not know if Obama signs were stolen, I spoke of my experience, and not yours. I replied to comments that Republicans were Red Necks. Or did you fail to see that comment? And what gives me the right to speak of someone who has died for this country.. then maybe I will start with my own family, my own brothers, or perhaps with my husband and the some 32 friends he lost. Or his best friends entire platoon that died. Perhaps it was the years that I spent alone while he was serving your country and fighting for your shores to be safe. I too have a long line of military in my family. And so you know, this country is not an “it”, it is a HER. As far as thanking God, I thank God that I was fortunate enough to go to school and learn how to spell.

Dear God – shove it! You are looking for a personal war and are not going to find it here. Go annoy someone else!

Look who’s talking about sticking to the facts! That’s calling the kettle black! *dork*

You don’t know me – if you did this would not be an issue.

  10. Angrysoldierswife Says:
    November 5th, 2008 at 6:30 pm

That’s all you have to say? Such a shame. It isn’t about Democrats or Republicans, it’s about love for the country. What you seem to take for granted as a given. So truly very selfish you are, Viola.

That is what I have to say. You keep putting your foot in deeper… BTW

You “claim” to know me – sign your name…

    Dear AngrySoldiers Wife,
And boy oh boy are you angry. I support our troops. I do not support the war. I would like to tell where you can go.
But, you know what I am not. Bacause my very angry dear, I am very, very happy! And honey do you know why? Because sweetie BARACK OBAMA KICKED JOHN MCCAIN’S ASS!!!!!!!

  13. mom Says:
    November 5th, 2008 at 8:35 pm

I am so sorry for you, if I read your last remark right, you said this is my country not this is our country. You, my dear, are angry at what? For freedom of speech? Because God gave you feelings? You are not the only one who has lost or misses a loved one. So, maybe your reply was not in anger but in a cry for help.
